Malvin Finkelstein is the founder of the Eugene Center for Acupuncture and has been practicing acupuncture, Chinese herbology and acupressure/tuina in Eugene, Oregon since 1980.



Training

Malvin graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in Boston, Massachusetts, studied at the Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and received his Doctor of Oriental Medicine degree from the California Acupuncture College. He has received advanced training in treating musculo-skeletal pain with acupuncture, trigger and motor points, Chinese massage (tuina), orthopedics and osteopathy and has received advanced Medical Qigong training in China.

Licensing
Malvin is licensed to practice acupuncture in the State of Oregon and is nationally board certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Professional Activities
• NCCAOM–Board of Directors from 1989 to 1998;
Chairperson from 1995 to 1997.
• Pain Society of Oregon (a multidisciplinary group of health care providers including MDs, Osteopaths, Nurses, Pharmacists, NDs, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists and Physical Therapists)–Board of Directors from 1999 to 2003; President 2002.
• Oregon Board of Medical Examiners–Acupuncture Committee member from 1988 to 2002.
• Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM)– Founding Board of Directors from 1983 to 1992;
faculty member 1985.
• National Qigong Association (NQA)–Board of Directors from 2000 to 2003; President from 2002 to 2003.
• Oregon Acupuncture Association–Board of Directors from 1982 to 1989; President from 1984 to 1985.

He is the author of the books The Energetic Function of Points, and "Digestive Disorders - Diagnosis and Treatment", and the video 3 Centers Qigong. All are available for sale by contacting our office.
He is a member of the Oregon Acupuncture Association, the Pain Society of Oregon, the American Association of Oriental Medicine, the National Alliance of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the National Qigong Association and is a fellow of the National Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
